Teresa St. Amant Designing Homes for Today's Dreams & Tomorrow's Trends
One of the reasons why clients are so satisfied with their McDonald Construction homes is the work of Teresa St. Amant of St. Amant Design. She is responsible for the home designs, working with the clients to create living spaces they will use and enjoy for a long time. "I've been associated with McDonald Construction for about eight months," said St. Amant. "They realized design was an area in which they needed more strength." St. Amant has been involved in the local building industry for about 24 years. A student at both the University of Minnesota and Dunwoody Institute. Over the years she has held many positions, from head designer to director of architecture. Her designs won both national and local awards. One of which she is most proud was from the Powderhorn Park Neighbor-hood Association, a local neighborhood group, receiving an award for the "PPNA Little Lots Design competition."
"This was a national competition where my design won fourth in the nation," she explained. "Unfortunately, the other three winners' work didn't really fit the competition's criteria. Ultimately my design was used - and is still used today - by Powderhorn Residence Group of south Minneapolis and Neighborhood Housing Services of North Minneapolis. "I knew that Bob McDonald has a lot of integrity, and this comes through in his homes," she continued. "I believe that my experience in design can complement the great homes he already builds. "There are great builders out there, and many high-quality designs, but very few that can do both. "McDonald Construction can do both. I wouldn't hesitate to build a McDonald home."
